The main advantage of solar power is that it reduces our dependency on polluting sources of energy and helps us to reduce carbon footprints on the earth. More adoption of solar power can help us mitigating climate change, air pollution and global warming. The main disadvantage of solar power is that it does not produce power at night and thus need energy storage systems to store surplus energy. The intermittency somtimes affects functioning and stablity of the grid. Thus to counter these, in large projects, we need extra investments on energy storage.

If you are using UPS and battery for power backup, a new rooftop solar connection will not hamper the functining of your batteries and power backup. It will work like it used to work before the installation of rooftop solar.

In majority of the countries across the globe including India, the maximum amount of energy we consume in our households through the grid is derived from burning of coals, lignite, diesel or using gas. All of these are non-renewable energy sources and could be exhausted with overuse. Moreover, they also release green house gas during power production. When we use solar energy, we generate electricity directly from sunlight without burning anything. So solar users helps to reduce the needs of energy dervierd from the burning of fossil fuels and this avoid adding more Green House Gases into the enviornment.

It is because solar panels usually make DC power and household connections use AC power. So these inverter convert the DC power from solar and injects AC power into your hosehold electricity which allows you to use solar power the same way how you use the grid power.

You have to compare the average monthly productionn of 1 KW of a solar panel and find out how much capacitty you may require to fulfil your monthly power units with solar. Solar installers typically assess energy consumption patterns and available roof space to recommend an appropriate system size. Factors such as budget and future energy needs also play a role in determining the system size.
