Smart meters rely on real-time data transmission to monitor energy usage and enable features like prepaid billing. Without stable communication networks, data transfer can fail, hindering the meters' functionality and benefits.

The primary challenge isn’t the smart meters themselves but the lack of robust supporting infrastructure, such as reliable communication networks and data management systems, which are critical for effective smart meter deployment and operation.

In majority of the countries across the globe including India, the maximum amount of energy we consume in our households through the grid is derived from burning of coals, lignite, diesel or using gas. All of these are non-renewable energy sources and could be exhausted with overuse. Moreover, they also release green house gas during power production. When we use solar energy, we generate electricity directly from sunlight without burning anything. So solar users helps to reduce the needs of energy dervierd from the burning of fossil fuels and this avoid adding more Green House Gases into the enviornment.

While utility scale solar plants are maintained on a fortnightly basis, frequency of maintenance for rooftop solar panels is at least 3-6 times a year. Though, it is advisable to check your solar companies manual for panel specific maintenance care as well. In many parts of India, dusty environments might necessitate monthly module cleanings as well.

The solar panel maintenance cost is influenced by the brand and kind of solar panels installed (monocrystalline vs. polycrystalline), as well as the installation method (shed mounted, ground mounted, RCC mounted). Access is obviously critical. Costs should be low enough to be recoverable from the increased productivity of your plant due to regular maintainance.

This could be done by adding all the units your consumed monthly and dividing the final amount with 12. This will give uyour averrage annualy consumption. You have to compare the average monthly productionn of 1 KW of a solar panel and find out how much capacitty you may require to fulfil your monthly power units with solar. Solar installers typically assess energy consumption patterns and available roof space to recommend an appropriate system size. Factors such as budget and future energy needs also play a role in determining the system size.
