Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan Yojana is a scheme to subsidize farmers to install solar irrigation pumps for cultivation. Each farmer will receive a 60% subsidy to set up tube wells and pump sets.They will also get 30% of the total cost as a loan from the Government. the scheme is administered through relevant state government bodies in each state.
there are three main components in PMKUSUM. Component A, or Groud Mounted Solar plants that will be grid connected, and built on land provided by Farmers.
Component B or off grid solar irrigation pumps.
Component C or grid connected solar irrigation pumps.
