    The main advantage of solar power is that it reduces our dependency on polluting sources of energy and helps us to reduce carbon footprints on the earth. More adoption of solar power can help us mitigating climate change, air pollution and global warming. The main disadvantage of solar power is that it does not produce power at night and thus need energy storage systems to store surplus energy. The intermittency somtimes affects functioning and stablity of the grid. Thus to counter these, in large projects, we need extra investments on energy storage.
