Yes, you can, if you are in any of the 13 states that have notified their Green Energy Open Access rules. Under these new rules that were announced in June, 2022 by the centre, all customers, with requirements as low as 100 kW are eligible to apply for green energy through open access.

In majority of the countries across the globe including India, the maximum amount of energy we consume in our households through the grid is derived from burning of coals, lignite, diesel or using gas. All of these are non-renewable energy sources and could be exhausted with overuse. Moreover, they also release green house gas during power production. When we use solar energy, we generate electricity directly from sunlight without burning anything. So solar users helps to reduce the needs of energy dervierd from the burning of fossil fuels and this avoid adding more Green House Gases into the enviornment.

Yes. You can connect your existing electrical appliances with solar system without any issue. That is why inverters are mandatory part of solar systems. It is because solar panels usually make DC power and household connections use AC power. So these inverter convert the DC power from solar and injects AC power into your hosehold electricity which allows you to use solar power the same way how you use the grid power.
