The role of a solar inverter is to convert the solar power (generated in DC) to AC. In households, the electrical appliances use AC power. So the generating item in a solar system is not inverter but the solar modules. However, the proper running of inverters is also important. There are many errors like lack of grid power, excess grid voltage and others which can halt its operations. In most inverters, these errors are shown with a code which depict the particular problems with the inverter. Contact your solar project vendor or inverter firm for any clarification or repair if needed.
